IRVINE – A half dozen national and regional companies performed a raid about the Combined Regulation Teamis Irvine practices on Friday, as police completed a national research warrant associated with financing change fraud investigation.
The U.S. Postal Assessment support brought the raid about the embattled mortgage loan modification company, along side authorities in the FBI, U.S. Immigrations and Customs Administration, the Orange County District Attorney's workplace, the Unique Inspector General for that Struggling Resource Reduction Plan and officials in the Newport Beach and Irvine Police Divisions, Postal Inspector Renee Focht said. The raid started at 8 A.M., with authorities closing work at 2525 Campus Travel because they completed the research, Focht said. No arrests were documented.
The raid was section of a continuing national analysis regarding probable mortgage loan modification scam, FBI Speaker Laura Eimiller said.
Detectives within their affidavit to get a search warrant claim the Combined Regulation Team is just a business "permeated by scam." Interviews with customers and former workers suggested the organization gathers upfront costs of between $1,500 and $12,000 like a retainer before function starts, though detectives claim these were unacquainted with any instances where the organization finished an effective mortgage loan modification, beyond those reported within their marketing campaign, based on the affidavit.
