I obtained a First Premier credit card in 2001 made payments on time all but twice and paid the late fee that was required each time. Each time I tried to make a purchase the card was declined.
This past feburary I canceled the card and from that point on I've spoken to several people from the bank continuously explaining that I never used the card. Through their own investigation there had been a charge made to the card, but not by myself or my spouse. When the card was canceled the payments were current. From that point on they have continued to add late fees up to the amount of $246.50.
The credit limit of this card that was never used was $250.00 I made payments of $20 up to $183.00 was the largest ammount paid out to them during the course of having the card, at the time I canceled the card the estimated amount paid out to First Premier Bank at the minimum of $20.00 a mouth would be $440.00 which exceeds the total limit of the card.
First Premier has continuously tried to settle this problem with me paying for late fees and the charge that was made to the card not by me. I had no problem with this bank until I decided to cancel the card. They have ruined my good credit rating.
