After several years with virtually no problems, and credit line increases, this "bank" abruptly closed my account without warning. When I asked for an explanation I received this by email:
Dear Valued Customer,
Thank you for the opportunity to serve you. This email is in response to your recent inquiry.
We are sorry for any inconvenience caused, as you were previously notified, your Tribute account was closed on 09/11/09 due to the termination of the Tribute program. Therefore you no longer have charging privileges on this account. However, please be advised you remain obligated to make your minimum monthly payments each month in a timely manner, until your balance has been paid in full.
We appreciate and value your business. Please let us know if you have any further questions regarding your account.
So what does THAT mean, "the termination of the Tribute program". I don't recall ever being told or informed I was IN a "program" with time limits.
Anyone else?
