Ripoff false promises

I had an old debt that they called me about (took me awhile to remember what it was and still wasn't really sure about how much it was). But the loan check I had was 10? 00 over the amount was told to send it in and a refund check would be mailed back to me. That has been at least 3 months ago. When I try the number I used before it only lets you get through if you are a current member. If you have any further problems you are to WRITE to them. (I suppose that way they can conveinently say the mail never got to them.) I'm angry that the lady I talked to (I have her name but won't use it here) lied to me.
