There has been a hold placed on a recent payment we made due to the fact that we had a returned payment in the previous month.in an attempt to figure this problem out the first rep. (who was awesome) i spoke with transfered me to the returned check dept. Where i spoke with a rep. By the name of amy talavera (who was extremely rude). She finally told me i could fax over a letter from our bank on bank letter head signed by an officer of the bank stating the funds had cleared the bank. Then the 8 day hold would be reduced to a 48 hour hold. Amex has recieved the letter with everything they requested on it. However, now when i ask to be transfered to the return check dept. No one will transfer me. They tell me that there will still be an 8 day hold. I have spoke with 4 different rep. All of which have been extremely rude. The rep. I am on the phone with now is cordial but will not transfer me to the return check dept. She said she spoke with a supervisor and they said the hold will not be reduced. I asked her why did i have to go through the trouble of sending a letter from the bank in the first place. She said she did not know. I then asked her if i could speak with a supervisor she said she would see if one is available. Didn't she just say she spoke with one.
