Chase Auto Finance
Fraud, scam, threatening/harassing calls, runaround

I have never had a loan with Chase Auto Finance. The only auto loan I had was with another company, paid off over 5 years ago.

Starting last week, out of the blue, I started receiving very threatening/harassing calls from their collections department. They left a phone number 800-388-4223, with no reference number. I called, and no one picks up. The automated recording tells you to hold for the next available rep, but after calling at least 10 times, each time on hold for at least 30 minutes, no one picks up.

I have called at least 10 different Chase numbers. From the main customer service one, to a different one for auto finance listed on the website. Each time, the reps are clueless and say they can't help. They ask for my account number. I told them I don't have one because I never opened an auto account with them. Then they ask for my social security, which I won't give out. They then ask for my phone phone and address, they say they have no record of me.

I thought someone stole my identity so I pulled a credit report, and Chase Auto Finance is not listed.

Then I receive more threatening calls from the rude collector, mostly voicemails. I think they try calling your home when you're not there on purpose. The person called again today, Sunday morning! And I actually spoke with her.

She asked why I haven't paid my new Toyota loan for 3 months! I told her she's mistaken as I don't know what she's talking about. She starts screaming at me and called me a liar! She then asked for my social security number. She demanded my social security number several times, and I kept telling her I won't give that to her. She then called me a liar a few more times. I told the ugly pig to shut up because she got scammed.

Chase needs to take this issue with the dealership that dropped the ball. This loan is showing up on someone's credit report and it's not mine. Someone is receiving their collections letter. Someone fraudulently opened up a chase auto loan, used my name and home number, someone else's address and someone else's social security number. The dealership who approved the loan is at fault as well as they should have noticed the name, phone number, address, social security of the scammer do not match.

I sent numerous emails to the Chase fraud center. Some rep outsourced in India (of course) emails back that they're looking into my request and someone will get back to me in 1 day. It's been a week and I have not heard back.
