Just like the others, I was contacted at home by Alan Greene, operator # 1867. He was follwing up to a card that I had applied for to rebuild my credit. He told me that Credit Education Group worked directly with banks etc.
For the lifetime fee of $296.00, they would send me my credit card with a $2500 limit. I explained that I didn't have that much money and Alan said, Oh I understand that... What most people do is... When you get your card in about 10 business days, you can go and take a cash advance right off the new card and put it right back into your checking account. So, on April 21, they took the $296 out of my checking account. 4 weeks went by and I heard nothing. All the while I am calling them. Of course this foreigner named Pimpky Donald answers the phone and she can barely speak so that I can understand her, she claims that there mail room had problems and it left their office w/in the 10 days, but she didn't know from there.
I called them almost every day. Finally I recieved a packet... No card... Some stupid book called Credit 101.inside the book they even say, " Be suspicious of anyone who calls you on the phone and says they can guarantee you will get a credit card if youpay in advance." A legitimate company will not require money up front. The packet also contained a photocopy of an application which you were to fill out and send in. IF and only IF you recieve 3 credit denials, you will get your money back. If you don't have denial letters you are out of luck. Well, who is to say they even apply to anyone on your behalf. Alan said in the begining thatI would receive my CARD, not some useless packet.
I have also been given names of some others there. This Alan Greene is in New York or something, his phone number is647-288-0123 (which of course is outgoing only) Pimpky Donald and her supervisor Neal Douglas are at 10624 SE Avenue, Henderson, NV 89052, phone number 1-866-310-0695. The corporate office Supervisor is Sharon Carter at 5-2325 Huronpario Street, Suite 178, Mississauga, ONT, CA L5A4K4 phone number 1-888-646-8386. Of course all of that information is probably a lie too.
Remember... If you feel it in your gut that something is a scam, FOLLOW YOUR GUT!!! I am out $296.00 which in my desperate financial situation has sent me on a downward financial spiral. These people need to be stopped!!!
