Why Me? It Was My Dream, Ripped From Me

I bought my home after I received my lump sum disability money as down money on a small home I found in my price range, then I found a fixer home to which I did do the whole time I lived there, 12 years. I am a responsible adult and used my monies to do this as I thought then was a dream I was living that came to reality. At first, it was hard, but I hung in there. The loan I found was called the M.A.P. Program through my local bank, First Commonwealth aka Southwest Bank.

It wasn't bad enough the realtor kept telling me that there was no way a single, divorced, disabled woman would ever be qualified for a home, but against the odds, I did, and I was thrilled to death, and very proud. Through the years I payed my payments religiously. I was never late once. The mistake was I borrowed on a second mortgage to purchase a garage and the loan officer said what ever you want to borrow, it's yours, I trusted this man, I told him I need enough for that but not to surpass 15 years more and I had a small loan at the bank besides my home and I also wanted it to be included, he agreed.

That's when I found out my mortgage was sold to Cendant Mortgage Corporation in Nevada, which I wasn't aware of, my original loan was for $14,000, and my second mortgage was set at $40,000! An amount I never should have been qualified for on my income, after signing the new papers, I left on a small vacation down in NC at my daughters when I found out my small loan was not included in this new loan, I was devastated I was deceived by the loan officer and couldn't believe it, I called and asked him why he did that he couldn't answer me then I questioned him on the amount I got and how on earth did I qualify for that amount on my income and why did he extend my pay off for 30 years, again he couldn't give me a straight answer.

I was a basket case down my daughters, so much for visiting with my grand kids, I felt the bank I dealt with for years really screwed me when I returned home, I felt totally played by the bank, so I spoke with my lawyer who said I had a case but it would cost me allot of money to fight the bank and they have it and let's face it, I didn't. Then I needeed a car on top of it, and got one but eventually within 2 years, I ended up selling my home and my hopes hard work and dreams were gone with the swipe of a pen that one day I re-mortgaged, in front of some lawyer that didn't read or explain the papers because he was had a long day as he put it and kept yawning, like I was wasting his valuable time, I just signed and left.

My mistake the whole way around, after all that happening I learned a valuable lesson in which I will never forget, it cost me my dream. Then after years for some reason I got on the computer and looked up my deed and found out some how my loan jumped from $40,000 to $42,867 as the original debt! When I called First Commonwealth Bank the Mortgage Department said to get in touch with Cendant Mortgage Corporation since they have all the paper work, which I did, but low and behold, no phone numbers I called answered! Am I screwed all over, how much money of mine is missing? When I sold my home, did I pay off much more money in the end? M local bank seems to give a care, they blame it all on Cendant, and wipe their hands of it all.

Is this it? The end of the road? Money of mine lost forever over this? Can I or should I even trust another lender? Are they all crooks? Is there anyone out there that can check all my paperwork and see for sure that I am entitled for a refund of monies, I already lost my home to strangers, but, at least I didn't loose it, thank God. Was that the Cendant Corporation wanted, my property, in hopes I would loose it by loaning me too much money to pay back by my income? This was my only chance of being a proud home owner and now I'm right back where I started from, my without my monies toi start over. Is there any justice for a single, disabled woman in this world?
