Cros Country Bank ripped off and scammed

Cros Country BankCross Country Bank ripoff ripped off and scammed screwed others too ripped off and scammed Boca Raton Florida...

My problem with this credit card company started in March when I started to bounce checks on my checking account. I called my bank to find out where the problem was and found out that this company was taking eight five dollar withdrawals from my account for the past three months without my permission and applying them to another account. I contacted them and tried to get this resolved with little if any success at first. I had been paying my account with them out of my checking account via the web so in other words they were double dipping into my account.

After several repeated calls to them and various threats and having my bank fax copies of the name and account that they were crediting thiese funds to they agreed they made a mistake and promised to refund the money.

I called after about a week and inquired about my money and was told they didn't know what I was talking about and ended up having the bank refax the information and within a few days they called back again, admitted their mistake and promised to pay me within ten to fourteen business days. I told them that I was withholding any further payments until this matter was resolved. I also inquired as to whether I could charge them late fees and interest at the same rate they charge me but this was denied.

Two of the three eighty five dollar payments made it to me in that period, I ended up calling them again to get the final payment in another week. Each time this cost me long distance fees as they didn't have an 800 number to contact them. Each time I ended up going through the phone tree from hell that took on average ten minutes to get from a computer generated voice and canned music to finally a real live voice.

In the process of all this going on I failed to make a payment for the month of April, (first one in two years that I missed) also did use the card for a couple of small purchases.in the middle of May I was emailed and told that I was charged a late fee of thirty five dollars for not making this payment and low and behold this put me over my credit limit and this cost me another 35 dollars as well.

I apologized for the error and mailed a fifty dollar payment off and towards the end of May checked my account on their website and noted that I owed another seventy four dollars and some odd cents. I made another payment for seventy five dollars just to play it safe so I wouldn't be charger another late fee and have a black mark on my credit. I check the website a week or so later and noted that I had thirty dollars left on the card. I didn't understand where exactly this came from but didn't question it as I felt everything was taken care of.

Today I received an email from them stating that I was again over my credit limit, this time by one hundred thirty eight dollars and some odd cents. I called the 877 number they had in the email and this was just a recording telling me to call a toll number.

After getting through the ten minute comuterized phone tree once again I was finally told by a real person that I didn't pay enough last month, in fact was twelve dollars over my limit which again cost me anothe thirty five dollar late fee and another thirty five dollar overlimit fee, oh and by the way, your fifty dollar annual fee is dues this month as well.

I cancelled the card and asked since I wasn't using it anymore if I could get my fifty dollar fee back but of course the answe was negative. If I wanted hower I could file a complaint with the but they still had to have one hundred thirty eight dollard to them by the twenty seventh or it would cost me more fees. This is the final straw, I mad as hell and I'm not going to take this crap anymore!
