Ripoff business from hellmakes it a practice to threaten and harrass consumers as well as treat people like common criminals

NCO Financial Systems is collections agency that makes it a practice to threaten and harrass consumers as well as treat people like common criminals. I had the displeasure of having to deal with a person called Doug Smith, who apparently thinks that is the top dog in this company.

After many phone threatening and harrassing calls (both at work and home). He told me that I was nothing but a greedy "B — " and that it was because people like myself that were robbing Capital One. First of all my Capital One account was only for $190.00 and this NCO was trying to collect $759.. When I questioned the amount Mr Doug Smith informed me that if i was a responsible person that paid my bills then they would not have to charge me all these extra fees.

Finally after several months of this harrasment i spoke with another rep and I set up a settlement payment of 3 payments of $167. For a total of $501. And, my account would be closed with them. I really didn't feel that I should have paid such a large amount for such a small bill. But, I was so tired of getting harrassed so i set up e-payment.

Which i should have never done, this gave them access to my checking account. Finally I was paid up and I didn't have to deal with this company any longer. So I was very surprised when I recv'd a letter from NCO after I had made all the req'd payments, indicating that they were going to deduct another payment of $167.00 from my account.

I immediatly called NCO and explained my situation to the phone rep and this person transfered me to none other but this Doug Smith again. He started to tell me that this was not an error and that I still owed the remainder of this balance. So naturally I flipped out on him. He proceeded to tell me againg that if I was responsible then I would have never fallen into collection and they were not reposible to return my last payment and this was not customer service so if I had a problem with them it was too bad.

I explained that irregardless if I was in collection I had gone into settlement with them and they were responsible to uphold the agreement. If he couldn't help me. I informed him that I wanted to speak to his supervisor, and can you believe he tried to tell me that he didn't have a supervisor. I told him do you think I am stupid, you can't tell me thast you don't have a suppervisor. Then he said well he is not in right now, so naturally I asked to be transfered to this gentleman's voice mail and again he refused.

Eventually after being hung up on 5 different time in one day and much yelling and exchanging insults and threats he informed me that he would put the refund through and again he hung up on me. I then called back and one of the reps (his name Aaron) informed me that the refund would yake about 21 business days and if had written checks out and the checks bounced that they were not responsible to cover those bank charges and again was told that I could not speak to Mr Smith's supervisor.

So after many unanswered e-mails I have resorted to filing this complaint and to as many complaint web siteds that I can find. I have also reported nco financial systems to federal trade commision. I suggest any other consumers with the same kind of complaints file a complat to FTC.
