Annual Fee charge For opening an account

BestBuy rewards card (HSBC Bank)

Issues a consumer credit card that comes with a bill. Once you receive your statement it say you already have an "Annual Fee" charge on it.

It really is an activation charge and I would be so upset if they would just come out and say that.

The salesman (cashiers) are very insistent that you will not be charged for signing up for a card. But your statement show otherwise.

You can forget to argue your case with customer service because they will give you the runaround endlessly.

The saddest part of all is that this deliberate misleading/lying to customers is perfectly legal, completely dishonest, and there is nothing that can or will be done about it.

Don't ever sign up for another card.

I won't.
