While they sound all legit they have a bad reputation. They buy old defaulted consumer debt really cheap from other parties that purchased these old debt portfolios years ago. Since they paid practically nothing for the debt they can make good money on a small percentage that they con into paying.
It is believed that they may soon be singled out for state and federal fraud charges so if you have a complaint then alert your state's district attorney and get a complaint in. The more the better. There is a consumer ground swell beuilding as evidient to the amount of postings here.
