An item was charged to my Coasthills FCU Checkcard.
The item was a pending charge not to be fulfilled for more than 4 days.
After speaking with the Member Services at the company charging and conducting a 3-way call with the CoastHills member services, the pending charge was released. However, due to a low account balance, the pending hold amount triggered a "courtesy pay fee" which is in other words an overdraft charge. So even though I am technically not being provided with a courteous, convenient loan, CoastHills is unable to reverse this $29.00 fee.
After 5 phone calls of which all operators were unable to correctly add, subtract and distinguish between 'available' and 'cleared' balances; I am awaiting for a phone call from an business official whose authority is of the magnitude to actually deduct the fee. I have contacted the National Credit Union Administration in order to file a complaint against CoastHills. It has now been five hours since I began this task and it is still unresolved. The time has come to call them back and be refunded the entire fee. Upon completion of this refund, I will be rebuttling my complaint...
