I sent for a free sample bottle of acai pills for weight loss, paying only for S&H of about $1, which was paid for by VISA. Now, 6 weeks later, I find charges of $78.81 and $83.80 on my VISA.
I called the company. They claimed that I signed up for monthly shipments and that they had shipped me one months worth last month — which I never received. I obviously protested vigorously but they would not cancel the charges. They actually had the gall to 'give' me a $60 refund!
That call sounded like an Indian location, so I gave up on that approach. I called my credit card company, who told me they have had many similar complaints about Advanced Wellness Research. They cancelled the charges against me.
