Our partner and that I recently attempted to secure a refinance from Amerifund in Nyc. They informed us that there could be no lock-in charge and stated that people had a need to provide them with a-1% "deposit, " to obtain the procedure began. We requested many times to ensure written down this wasn't one more charge, but were reassured that it had been a 'deposit.' Well, as it happens, it's one more charge and today we're looking to get it back. It's a lot more challenging to obtain money-back even when businesses have lied for you by what they're doing. Believe me - avoid Amerifund and watch out for all refinance/mortgage brokers. Don't spend any upfront "remains." Remains aren't actually authorized as it happens - but "costs" are.
