Warning!!! Major rip-off scam!!! I also I responded to an ad in my local newspaper from Future Financial Services who were "looking for honest, hard-working individuals who deserve a second chance" for a personal loan. As a recently separated mother of a 3 year old... And not such great credit, I thought it was the answer to my prayers!
I called (866) 280-6663 and gave them my info. 2 weeks later I got a call saying I was approved for $5000 loan! All I had to do was wire 1st mos payment ($156.68) a % of the loan as a security deposit to secure the loan, total:$552.00 to my "Private Lender" named Dana Stanescu in Toronto, Canada.
When I called back with the transfer # the Company would Federal Express a certified check that I was supposed to receive within the next 48 hours. I transferred the money on Friday, I was to get the package delivered to my work this morning by 10am! Once 10:30 came I began to call the company... I was transferred to "My Agent" Rebecca Wallace, who stated that she just talked to the courier service and they were just running late... Once I did not see the package at 4:00 this afternoon, I started searching the internet... Something I should have done BEFORE I sent the money... And that is when I can across the other report!
DO NOT FALL FOR THIS! They are professional! I even asked for faxed information on the company and a copy of the paperwork before I sent the money. They sent contracts to me from individuals named Les Spallow, David Garson, Thomas Helter and Trevor Wier. And info on the company outlining what was to happen!
Now, I have placed calls to the "office" in Cherry Hill, NJ three times, and Rebecca has been at lunch, on the other line and most recently left for the day! I thought that by getting the paperwork before, I was covered... NO!
Now I have lost almost 2 weeks worth of pay... And have nothing to show for it! Do not fall for this! If there is anyone else out there who has been hit by this scam...
