Complaint / Review
NCO Financial Systems, Inc
Deseptive, dishonest, and illegal practices

I was in a very serious auto accident in and at the beginning of 2007 I notified my creditors that I had some balances with that all of my savings had run out and I had no incoming income... So I would be willing to pay them, but when the settlement arrived. The response from the only major credit card I decided to keep after the 2001 downturn was immediately cancelled.

When my case settled, my attorney refused to settle anything more than liens. Which forced we to contract with a debt collection service to settle the balance, and I wanted to do this cause I know they will find you and it will cost more if you dont deal with it up front - I used to practice law, and saw unbelieveable acts repeatedly, wondering how these companies thought they could get by with it.

Once they became involved we set aside the amount that the company felt the companies would accept, and the funds were put into a trust. The company decided to play hard ball, even though I told them I had been put on SSI disability, and they all know you can not attach anyones benefits from SSI... So it should be in their best interest to settle quickly and reduce their liability, but not this company.

This company has now been through several law firms, and most recently NCO got involved WHILE THERE IS A LAW FIRM ON THE SAME MATTER! That is right, we have two entities representing one company.

I listened to the calls as they came in originally, and ignored them as they said absolutely zero. I had no letters, I have no idea who they represent, and I have no idea what they think they want to do... Raising a red flag of YOUR ID REFERRENCE NUMBER IS & blah blah blah... They did not sound like a collection agency to me, and then I had to go out of town for 10 days. When I returned, I had a stream of messages from these people. Everyone sounded the same.

HELLO. (At least they try to be polite!)

This is an important message from NCO financial services. The law requires that we notify you that this a debt collection company (NO IT DOESN'T!)

This is an attempt t collect a debt and any information obtained will be used for that purpose. (that means they will take your words and use them against you, if they can!)

Please call back TODAY (up make it urgent!!! Ahahahhahahahha!!!)

And here is the phone number.

Now what person thinks anyone is going to call them back with a message like this, and in curiousity, I decided to look them up on the internet to find dozens of pages of complaints... And I am sure that people get scared... But they need to really calm their fears as best as possible.

At the top of my inquiry on the site, I found several attorneys who were willing to help you..." these practices are illegal. We can stop them", they would say & so I decided to write to them and tell them the story that I have two firms collecting the same debt, and this one, NCO does not bother to do much of anything other than be nasty...

I was sent a questionaire to fill out, and the firm was more than happy to take the case... Cause they get paid by NCO for being bad boys... I have nothing to lose!

I called the people who are trying to help me pay off the debts, and told them to have no conversation with NCO if they get calls because we are closing down their ability to collect on my case...

I have yet gotten 4 more calls today. Today I got a LIVE person to read off her sheet now... And I AM SUPPOSE TO CALL BACK TODAY!!! Well guess what, I am not doing that. I have an attorney now representing me, and you can deal with him Mr. Or Mrs NCO...

I have always paid my bills, and have a good credit rating, even with NCOs antics. I have been responsible in the past, and no matter who you are, we all face challenges in our lifetimes. No one is immune, and for the woman who says she worked at NCO and we should call back and keep them informed, I say, forget that idea... Play hard ball like they do...

The practices and procedures of NCO are dishonest and illegal, and anyone who gets a call from them should IMMEDIATELY call one of the attorneys at the top of the list who know how to really deal with these people. I am sure that people making the calls are ok... They just are happy to have a job... The problems are at the top!

If you have any doubt of that, read this news memo that just went out about how great their company is!!!

I guess that is why they get sued so much and dont even care!

Dont play with this company... Just file a law suit or report them to your state attorney general's office. If you file a law suit by US law, they Must CLOSE their file and give it back tot he creditor...

No one supports this company, not even the BBB.

Knowledge is POWER! Use it.

Best Wishes.

Someone hoping they go out of business.
