Poor customer service and business practices delaware

I have been a member of Chase Card Services for many years. I never carry over a balance. Every month my account is paid off in full. This past month March I happen to be TWO days late on a $53.00 bill and I was charged $39.00 in late fees. I called the bank to try to adjust it as a one time courtesy and the first girl would not work with me.

I asked for a Supervisor and she told me she had the same authority as a supervisor. I, nevertheless, hung on for 8 minutes until a supervisor came on the line. She was curt and to the point and answering before I could get the words out of my mouth using terms like "I don't understand". After going round and round with her, I finally told her I wanted to pay off my entire bill and was told I would receive another bill next month for the accrued interest.

I kept telling her I am paying it off now and no more interest. She would not listen to me. She did not want her name posted and threatened legal action. It is obvious this bank does not value it's customers and it is all about squeezing every cent out of them. I would not recommend doing business with them.
