I was on-line and saw an ad for a FREE credit report. "With no strings attached" or so I thought. I know that sometimes these places try to charge you later for something else, so I made sure that I emailed their address later to be specific enough that all I wanted was the FREE report. Nothing more, nothing less.
I never thought about it again. Then, all of a sudden, I get my credit card statement, and wouldn't you know, there was a charge from them for $79.95. At first, when I saw the charge, I couldn't even remember anything about it. After racking my brain, and looking it up on the internet, I remembered. It's a sad thing, with the state of the world, and all the troubles that our country has, that we have to look out for a—holes in our own country trying to screw us!
