Complaint / Review
Becu, Boeing Employees Credit Union
BECU Boeing Credit Tukwila

Very similar situation occurred with company. However mine was compunded by many other isues witht the companies service. First off I never received payment coupons, statments or other items from BECU. For whatever reason they refused to change the address to mine, where the car was and instead kept sending to my father (who was the primarys') address in Hawaii... Would have worked I guess if we could even recieve mail there... Which we couldnt, we recieve all mail through a P.O. Box. Though we made many attempts to correct this service personnel just passed us on from one to another, or just refused to change as it was policy. Years of going through issues with them. Am finally just getting my car title after over a year of the car being paid off. See below letter finally sent to all executives to finally get a response.

Aloha Mr. Oakland,

I am writing to you to hopefully finally get an action or direct contact person to assist me in what has been a nightmare with BECU. I received my first car loan through BECU, and had a fine experience. However the 2nd time around has been quite a different story. Right from the start, things were never set up right. Though I attempted many times, I could never get payment coupons for my loan. Nor did I receive any documents mailed to me, as for whatever CRAZY reason. No one would switch the mailing address to my Washington address. The car was co-signed by my father who lives in Hawaii. They insisted on sending all things there as he was the primary and would not send to me even at his request. Furthermore the items were sent to his street address where we do not receive mail. All mail in our area in Hawaii must go to the PO Box. I therefore had to drive about 35-40 minutes to Puyallup to pay my loan each month. Often I was unable to get out there do to work and other demands, which attributed to me being late. I then unfortunately went through an untimely family death and made a move to Hawaii the week after. Through morning and funeral arrangements I did then fall a bit behind. As there are no BECUs I finally found a credit union which I was supposed to be able to make payments to. However apparently the monies were credited to savings account and not to loan side. After speaking with a BECU representative, I found out what monies needed to be owed and paid them in full. As you will see in reviewing deposits to the account. However then a week or so later, a repo man showed up at my home and took the car. We called and found out what had happened with the monies being credited to the savings side by mistake. Obviously since I had been speaking with the rep and she knew agreed times of deposits im sure she saw money, and could have transferred or informed me. But regardless we spoke with reps figured out what needed to be done and the car was paid in full. The car was returned and yet STILL to date no ownership papers, and the account has been left on my credit reports with a large balance and status of repossessed. I call and get passed from one customer service person to another, am promised it will be researched and I will receive a call back. I don't. I email and email and email and not one person can take the time to let me know what I need to do, who I need to speak with. It has been unspeakably frustrating. I take my responsibility as well, but when will someone just give me an answer? I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and provided past emails and all information, hopefully they can assist in getting at least a response.
