We bought a brand new vehicle financed through BECU about 2 years ago and then it caught on fire (structural malfunction) about 3 months later. We had all sorts of coverages on it (full insurance and gap), however BECU was the biggest pain the butt to deal with as they awaited their money and kept charging us interest on the full amount.
The time came to buy a car in place of the one that caught on fire and when we notified BECU that we wanted to get a good financing deal through them - we were given a computer generated "deal", because the full balance of the first vehicle was still being reported on our credit. There was absolutely no MAN power, no BRAINS that took part in deciding our interest rate. Their customer service are just a waste of time and space and the way they announce treating their customers as 'MEMBERS' is such a hoax.
Moreover, every 6 months they send me a letter saying that they will make me pay for my insurance and include it in my monthly bill because they get a letter from GEICO stating that my policy had ended and instead of checking if it was indeed RENEWED, they immediately assume I need their stupid overpriced insurance to once again RIP me OFF!
Stay away from this fraudulent company. I wish we didn't make the mistake of assosiating with them in the first place.
