HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE/REFUSES TO STOP CALLING ME the business that doesnt give a dam

Emerge mastercard aka providian aka getsmart.

I always made payments on time and then received a letter in april that effective the 1st billing day in december they were raising interest rates to 29.99%

If you did not want this then you close your account by may 6. I closed my account. They immediately raised my interest rate to 29.99% fraudulantly. I have spent months and hours and days trying to get this corrected.

I finally decided that after they would not correct it that i filed a dispute, disputing that the amount i owed and finance charges were incorrect. They reported me late and charged late fees while i was in dispute status and now i have a black mark on my credit because of them.

They continually called and harassed me at home and work sometimes getting violent with me and insulting over the phone even after i have told them to not call and even sent them cease and desist letters.
