Last night I went to check my balance to get an exact amount of what I had left on my account (I only use the account for personal spending and always debit option). I knew I should've had somewhere around $76 and change as a ledger balance and $48 in available. When I checked the account it stated I was overdrawn by $13.34 which was odd because my father just deposited money and I had $26 and change already in the account.
I called the 800# and spoke with someone in customer service who just kept saying I was overdrawn by $13.34 on a purchase I had just made FOR $13.34. Made absolutely no sense especially when looking at the figures that had cleared and were still pending, I should've had $48. After going back and forth and going nowhere I asked for a supervisor and was told I had a pending transaction of $61.16 on my debit card which I never made.
One more thing I should note she stated the transaction was made on my new debit card which I had just received 3 days ago and didn't even have a pin until the evening before. After numerous holds she claimed it was a garnishment for that amount (which I won't get into and will inquire about today also with the appropriate parties).
But moving, upon checking on my account this morning the account is NOW overdrawn by $152.29. The charge for $61.16 along with the pending transactions, except for the one of $13.34, cleared leaving me with a balance of $1.05. Yet oddly I have $140.00 in OD fees when the account wasn't even in the negative after having all these items but 1 clear.
I have screen shots and print out of this as I will no doubt be filing a complaint with the BBB and Dept of Consumer Affairs. This is highway robbery and there's no reason why I should be giving them $140 when the account isn't even overdrawn. The pending charge that WOULD OD me hasn't even cleared and still pending it make's absolutely NO SENSE WHATSOEVER!
