I was searching for a chance to clear up my credit and start fresh. Didn't realize how important it was for me to have good credit until I was trying to buy a newer truck. I searched the web for people who give loans for people starting over. I was contacted by Lenders Recovery. Letting me know that they were trying to get in touch with me.
I didn't think anything about it because My cell phone had recently been shut off. I honestly thought it was a lender responding to my email to them. So I called them. Gave them all my information once again. I was contacted by Melissa Morrow numerous times letting me know that the process was going through very smoothly. That I was approved for $10,000 loan.
I knew this was going to be my lucky break. I would be able to pay off my 3 pass due accounts and purchase a newer truck. She then called me back and told me that I had to get loan insurance because I was at risk. They would pay for half the insurance if I could come up with half the insurance $850. Something was telling not to do it. I thought it probably was right because of my past credit history. (never never never believe this.)
I was waiting for payday to send the money. I wanted to make sure I could do it. I was going to be able to pay off all 3 of my accounts wish in reallity is not even $2000. I was going to be able to get a better truck.
I talked to a good friend which she lent me the money. I still had reservation because know I was involving a good friend. We drove down to our local Country Wide Mortgage. The mortgage company gave me the number to the insurance company. I called the Insurance company and they said that they did deal with Lenders Recovery before.
I ended up sending the money to a Lloyd Hunter of Canada by Moneygram. (another mistake, never send money by money gram let them take it out of your account) That way it is secured by the bank. Money Gram does not insure false claims or scams. Melissa told me that is would take about 2 hours for the money to be in my account. I waited NOTHING! I couldn't believe that I was getting so anixous about the money not being in my account.
The following morning I recieved a call from Melissa Morrow letting me know that there was a hold on the transfer. The insurance company was waiting for me to send the rest of the money. I reminded Ms Morrow that it was under both of our agreement that I would pay half and Lenders Recovery would pick up the other half.
I told her that I wanted to cancel the loan and the application and just get my money back. She told me that It would be up to six weks. I told her that I didn't have six weeks. I had other bills that was depending on that money.
I came on to complaint and started doing some investigating on the business, names and Lloyd Hunter. There were so many hits on Lloyd Hunter! I called back to talk to Ms Morrow. She was conviently in with a client. She told me she would be calling me back. I said ok. When I hung up with her I immediately called back and didn't push her extention.
I ended up talking to another man that told me that the phone call was being recorded. I let him know that I had filed a claim with the BBB and the local police station. He told me that I would have the money now within 3 weeks. I told him that I didn't apprecaiated be scammed. He assured me that I wasn't. He told me if I was willing to right an apolgy letter if I recieved my money back. I told him that I would be happy to. That is "IF I GOT MY MONEY".
This complete transaction took less then 24 hours for them to have my money. I didn't want to sit on this. I don't want someone else following in my foot steps and making the same mistake that I made. I'm 20 years old and now realize that in this date and time in our country it is very difficult for anyone to get a loan.
