This company tried to sell me a car with an Annual Percentage Rate of 19.2%. I wasnt informed of the rate until minutes before driving the new vehicle off the lot when I was required to sign numerous documents. After signing approximately five documents, i hesitated when the Financial Loan Officer presented me the A.P.R. Document. I professionally asked to be excused for a second to use the phone. (I wanted to phone a friend of mine to talk about this important situation) he got adjitated about my inquiry and ask me if I thought I was going to get a better deal with my fucked up credit. Im guessing he assumed I was calling another dealer. I returned to his office approximately three to five minutes later and informed him that I decided not to purchase the vehicle because the APR was to high. The dealer became upset and started commenting on how I will not find another dealer because of my credit and he asked me if I wanted to look on his computer to see my deliquent accounts. During the process of his tirade, I started to raise my voice and I exchanged some foul language with the dealer. The dealer then flipped everything around and tried to make me out to be the bad guy by threatening to have the cops escort me from the building. I admit to letting this individual get to me with his unprofessionalism, and I should have just walked out instead of getting into a war of words with him. He got upset because I caught what I was about to sign off on. This was when his degrating comments about my credit arose. After realizing that this deal was not going to happen, His exact words to me were to get out of his office. This guy was extremely unprofessional and as a retired soldier in the U.S. Army (21 years) to have him treat me that way, I can only imagine how he treats the large contigent of younger soldiers he serves, who if it werent for them he wouldnt have a job. This guy should not be working at Liberty Chrysler and I am willing to go to a higher authority if I have to because no one should have to go through what I went through with him. This company needs to be investigated and Ihe Financial Loan Officer definitely needs to be terminated for his unprofessionalism. (This event happened at approximately 1915, and everyone had gone home with an exception to the Financial Loan Officer and the Dealer) (Greg Tyre) I have no problems with Mr. Tyre. He was very professional throughout the process.
