1. They tell one thing and then they put on the document to sign charges which were not agreed.
2. They hide some pages of the contract when they give you to sign and then refuse to give them to you.
3. On the hidden pages they put charges of which you are not aware.
4. They refuse to correct the contract.
5. They refuse to give the loan number and when then you ask them for the phone number to the bank customer service they give you a fake number.
I came to the dealer one a week ago to buy a car which was priced 6999 $
I told them that I would come the next morning when I will not be busy and buy the car.
They told me to hurry up because the car may be sold tomorrow morning and asked me to leave a deposit. It then happened that the car cost 7635 because of what they call "transportation and dealer prep. Fees". There were some additional smaller fees. Since I rather wanted to finish the transaction I still agreed. I wanted to pay by cash and they agreed.
Next day, however when I was ready to sign the deal. They told me that I have to take the loan through them. The loan they offered was 18% interest rate even I have an excellent credit history. Again I wanted to finish the transaction. I informed that I do not want any additional warranty.
I was surprised when they gave me sign the extended warranty for almost 3000$. When I complained the financial manager said that it is included in the price and crossed out the price initially listed. I signed that document and all others handed to me.
When I came home I noticed that the charges on the loan paper did not much the invoice, there was missing page 2, and the copy of the documents they gave me had blanked signatures.
I immediately went to the dealer again and they told me that the loan covers also the extended warranty. When I complained that it supposed to be included in the price and that the charges on the agreement were crossed out, the manager said it was included in some other price (he had problem to explain what was the "other price"). I signed the cancellation of this warranty, asked to correct the loan price and give me the copies signed documents. Again the manager said I will get all corrected documents from the bank. I insisted. They still did not give me the missing pages. When I asked, the manager he told me, that it is just a cover sheet they send to the bank and I do not need it. After demanding he gave me what he just called a cover sheet. There were over 3000 $ additional charges, some of them still not explained by the dealer. Now I understand why they were so resistant to give me the "cover sheet for the bank", which I saw for the first time.
I called the sales director of the company, but never was able to reach him. I left a voice message and he never called me back.
The company still did not pay me back 3000 $ for fake charges.
I have collected all evidence of their fraudulent activity and I am ready to fill out the complaint to Motor Vehicle Department and General Attorney.
Stay away from this seller, unless your layer will review all the documents before signing. Don't forget to check if there are missing some "cover sheets".
