March I was intoroduced to Blue Moon Capital in Denver Colorado via a Web presentation promoting rehabs in several states here in the U. S
I was interested in building retirement by putting money into real estate. I am not a real estate investor. But I watched Blue Moons Webinar and was impressed with what they offered.
I gave them $5000 to start the process which involved first a credit check. I was told that if I did not qualify for the loan I would receive my $5000 back. I did not qualify for the loan. I never even got passed the FICO score. I believe they wanted a 700 FICO score... Mine was much less so the loan process never advanced.
In the mean time my so called sales rep Tom Konkel said he would help me get my score up. He gave me all the letters to write on how to call and get my credit cleaned up. He even made some of the calls himself and even wrote letters. He was my new best friend. Then his cancer returned and he was gone for weeks recovering from surgery and more chemo. He was quite ill.
Over the months we had grown quite friendly. So much so that he asked me to loan him $900 to pay for medication because he couldn't get to his bank to get money for the prescription. A huge red flag went up about this time. He asked me to use Western Union to wire him the money. Being the honest person I am and believing we were "friends" After all he called me sweetheart and called me everyday with his personal life updates.
I was going to send the money. Western Union denied my attempt due to a fraud on my account from 2007. But dear Tom said thats o. K just send me $250 instead. I never sent him the money and gee I haven't spoke to him since.
I spent months calling Blue moon to see what was going on with my purchase or my deposit or Tom or my credit help. All I ever talked to was some young man at the front desk who said I will give him the message. I did talk to Tom one time months later and he said "don't give up" they owe you the money.
But whenever I talked to the young man at the front desk (I assume it was a receptionist of some kind) he simply said Bob (the owner) will call you back. He is "checking" into it or He is reviewing the recorded tapes (Our calls were all recorded) I finally stopped calling after June. My attorney sent a demand letter, but no response. This company is a scam, and as far as Tom Konkel is concerned that man is the biggest one of all.
Not only did he play me as my caring friend but he tried to scam me out of $900 Isn't it amazing that when he didn't get the money for his own personal use he stopped calling me every day. What kind of man does this? What kind of company goes into a contract with you then never talks to you again. I would have had more respect for this company if I had just got a NO But ignoring me... Wow
