Complaint / review text:
I sent money to the Philippines about a week ago. Their website said "delivery within 24 hours" and offered 3 options:
- Bank deposit
- Willcall (pickup at bank)
- Home delivery
I used Moneygram before and they delivered the money within 24 hours. When the recipient told me that she had not received anything (after 3 days) I called and talked to customer service. Their response was: "you have to wait 4 business days, we don't count Friday, Saturday and Sunday"
The recipient also called their number in the Philippines several times and was not able to get any response.
Now, after almost one week I received an email that the funds would not be delivered because the recipient does not live "within their service area"
I called again and asked why they needed one week to tell me that it could not be delivered and after almost one hour on hold the answer was "the delivery person could not find the house"
