Poor Customer support - are they for real?

We have paid ober $6000 to Acishield since February and have yet to have any of our debt settled. We were recently visited by the Sherriffs office with a summons from court that we were being sued by one of the credit card companies. We have followed every step they have asked and had money to settle this particular debt three months ago at their stated 50-60% discosunt, however this did not happen. Over the past four weeks we have had a very hard time getting through to the company. When I did last week Tuesday I was told it would be taken care of by the end of the week and I would be getting daily updates on the progress. It is no Monday - no e-mail messages, no phone calls or voice mails left - each time we have called this past week we keep getting a message that their customer service agents are busy and that we need to leave a message and someone whould call within 24 hours — Several message per day were left and not one has been has ben answered including e-mail. We have not wanted to file bankruptcy - this is why we chose this program — now that our credit has been completly trashed we may not have a choice — next step is a law firm.
