As a former employee and new to this and other complainting boards, I am glad we finally have an avenue. I worked for Cydcor and Lear Marketing for two weeks. I was told I would make 200-400 a week.
At first I was all hyped and ready to go out and get those Apps. I wanted to "get the bell and beyond". But, I slowly started to see the light. I drove 45 minutes every day to get to a nice office in Dublin, Ohio. I signed up a total of 35 lines in my two weeks at Cydcor, with little to no help from my trainer.

Truths:
*You DO work 50-65 hours a week. I was working a 12 hour work day.
*You DO solicite to companies and business that do not want you there nor do they want your product.
*You DO drive all over creation and back. Gas is NOT given to you by the managers.
*Commission is the only pay you get, and as a trainee you don't get any pay!!! No commission! You get a set "bonus" given by the campaign. All the work you do with the trainer goes to THEIR pay check not yours.
*They talk about benefits and then when it came down to it. Not once did I see a paper to sign to get these benefits. Everytime I asked I was shot down and told that the agent would "be here tomorrow".
*Sexual Harrassment IS present. Many managers are very touchy feelie. I was very uncomfortable with my manager, who hit on me every chance he could get.
*When you quit. No money is given to you for your work.
*Even the managers go out in the field. If they are making so much money, why do they have to go out and sell apps?
I quit because all the time that I put into this company and hours and driving, and gas and cell phone bill. My grand total for my work was 0 dollars!!!
Yes when I quit because I was having a problem with the work and the integrety of what we were doing. I asked when I could pick up my paycheck and I was told, I don't have one. I will recieve no money what-so-ever for my 2 weeks.
This IS a pyramid scam. This is dishonest and scary.
Please look into the company you are working for before you say yes to a job. Yes, this is not a job for everyone. Those of you who don't want to be a face to face telemarketer, work for hardly any pay, work out of your car, face sexual harrassment, and put in 65 hour work weeks. This is not the job for you. At least with McDonalds and Blockbuster you know what you are getting into.
