1) I am just wondering aloud if anyone has had Best Bank NOT refund overdraft charges taken from your account due to fraudulent withdrawals by internet companies. A friend of mine had a company withdraw funds fraudulently from his account. He promptly called the company. The company returned the funds to his account and apologized. Best Bank charged overdraft fees for these fraudulent withdrawals and told him to "go to get a police report" and have NOT yet returned the overdraft fees they deducted as a result of the fraud. I read the terms and conditions of their account and it is ILLEGAL for best bank to NOT return the overdraft fees. However, they won't do it.
2) This same customer was charged an overdraft fee BEFORE the purchase. The balance in the account was positive before the overdraft and would have covered the purchase made. BESTBANK charged the account an overdraft fee and then deducted the purchase causing the overdraft and then charged a second overdraft fee because the account was assumed negative at that time. $25 and $35. Doesn't make sense to me neither.
