I bought my computer from Gateway and they financed it through Hurley State Bank. We had made all our payments on or before the due date until the month of February when it was one week late.

The bank began to call and threatened us with reports to the credit bureau etc. They did not at first identify who they were or why they called. My wife told them that if it was a sales call I would not want to talk with them upon which the caller started screaming that it was not a sales call and my wife hung up. I later talked to them when they called back and when I talked with the representative I expressed my displeasure at the way they had talked to my wife.

The lady from Hurley started threatening with the credit bureau and I told them to just go ahead and report. I then called back and talked to the same lady and had here look on her computer upon which she discoverd that we had never missed a payment or been late before. At this point, after I told her when the payment was sent, which admittedly was a week late, she changed hear attitude.

I am totally dispeased with they way they deal with their customers and the exhorbitant interest. Something should be done to stop this kind of financial abuse. Thank you.
