Midfirst Mortgage in OK OK holds a small mortgage (VA) on my home n Jacksonville fl 32244. About 1 month ago my mome burned from an electrical fire. During the fire I called the proper department and gave them the information that the house is unliveable and that the Insurance company has boarded up the house. I gave them the extent of the damage and at that time I spoke to a girl by the name of Amy and she documented the information and stated that would be fine. Mid first would wait for the insurance to contact then with proper information.
My next horrible surprise was that on Friday the house locks were taken off and a new ones were put on with the old locks thrown on the floor of the front door foyer. Upon looking around I found that the house was robbbed and over 15,000 worth of valuables that the Insurance company was to come and get to clean were gone.
I paniced and called the insurance company who told me to call the police which I did.in the mean time here comes this run down truck with 4 guys who stated they were from Midfirst Mortgage to Winterize the house and since the house was empty the Midfirst Mortgage Supervisor Richard authorized the company who I do not know since they came in an unmarked truck with only brooms in the back end of the truck. I asked for ID from the job they had non but they said they had a work order. Didn't see that either.
When I called Richard and asked him what was going on he said that it was legal to break into someone house and winterize it. I asked why there was not a notice sent out hesaid had no time to send out notices and that these uys just come when the tells them after house fires and ects.
So now I am missing valuables personal papers electronics silver narcotic drugs and hard liquor. When I explained this to Richard at Midfirst he pushed the situatio noff to the company he called to do the winterizing and stated they will handle the claim. The guys hired by Midfirst Bank broke into the house by permission of the Midfirst bank Richard authorized this break in. The Mid First bank had all the ways to contact me. I feel this is breaking inot private property and they stold articles and damaged stuff to.
They also took unauthorized pictures The sad part of the who situation is that they took a 73 year old wedding picture of my parents and broke it in pieces looking for money I guess. If there are any attorney's out there interested in this case as I am looking for a good strong agressive on I can be contacted
