I, Soenga Evans, was beneficiary on Policy # 00-H070598. The primary was in Manor Care Nursing Home, Oaklawn IL. I called Global on 7/17/08 to take over payments. I was told by respondent that the premium was current and only the primary could change the payment method from bank draft to direct billing. I replied that primary is in a nursing home and can not call in. Primary died on 10/21/08. I Soenga Evans, beneficiary, called Global on 10/22/08 to make a claim and was told that the policy had been cancelled on 8/21/08 by the primary. I responded that the primary could not have called in because the primary was in a nursing home. The respondent replied "Well, someone called in as primary giving SS# and D.O. B saying they were the primary". On 10/23/08 I called Global again and spoke to respondent, Angela, and gave a complaint of the fraud. I told her I knew such a fraudulent situation would occur. I told her that is why I made the call on 7/17/08. She responded that she did not see a notation in the computer system of the call but it was recorded. My complaint is that someone other that the primary called and cancelled the policy over the phone using the primary's information. This policy had been inforce since 2001. This is fraud and Global should investigate this situation and honor the policy.
