I received a phone call offering me a unsecured credit card for a one time fee of $221.95 to be automaticlly deducted from my checking account. Not only did they take my money but the did it under a different name then agreeded upon.
My wife and i both suspected this offer after i agreed, so i called my bank and paid $15.00 to initiate a stop payment to the electronic debit for freedom resources, when i reviewed my bank statement for the agreeded upon month there was no charge for freedom resources but there was one for a company called lennox, for the $221.95.
I called my bank and started a investigation, since i never agreeded to a debt for lennox, as of 01/30/03 i have not received a refund or a credit card. Ripped off for being niave
