Lennox Capital Aka Freedom Resources
Outright Lies! Don't be decieved!

We, like many others that have filed reports, were victimized by the same scam. Namely, for $221.95, we were promised a 0% everything unsecured card with a $2,500 limit. As we will explain, we did not wait around for some "packet" that some people got, some secured card offer that others got, or like most people, "nothing". It became obvious by the hundreds of reports that we have read on Lennox Capital that we were not going to get what was promised to us.

There are several things that moved us to add to the hundreds of reports on this company. First, we want to make it clear, that it was NOT simply a misunderstanding of terms and conditions. There are many card offers out there that are deceptively advertised, however a thorough examination of the terms and conditions, will enlighten you to what you will, or could recieve.

An example of this is those "gold" cards that are advertised as "credit cards", however are only lines of credit for specific catalogs or online shopping sites, and require 30% or more of a down payment for purchases.

Well, although deceptively advertised, the information on what it actually is is made clear upon a thorough examination. Same thing with many secured card offers.

In the case of the Lennox telemarketer, we were OUTRIGHT LIED TO! We asked POINT BLANK questions, and got LIES as responses. So, its not like some telemarketer rambled out some info and we misunderstood.

We kept him on the phone for over 1 hour! Because the offer seemed too good for people with perfect credit, let alone those with some flaws in their credit, we asked question after question. These included "Is this secured or unsecured", "Is the APR really 0%", "Are there really no fees", "Is there actually an already approved card coming", "Are we getting a card, or just some membership".

The telemarketers response to these point blank questions indicated in no uncertain terms, that we were receiving a 0%, 0 fee, $2,500 unsecured card already approved, and only a signiture needed on a form they would mail to finalize this. Of course, why would someone offer a card with no APR on $2,500?

We asked him this outright, and he responded with "we really want to help you out". Well, we decided to go for it because either we were getting this tremendous offer, or he was lying... There were definately no misunderstandings as to what was actually said... We spent an hour making sure of this!

Well, after the "check by phone" cleared the bank, I decided to do some research on the name that appeared on the reproduced check, which was Lennox Capital. I found literally hundreds of reports on people getting ripped off. The thing that I DIDN"T find was someone saying how they DID receive this card!

Many times, especially in the complaint, you'll find rebuttles from people with positive things to say. We found none!

Well, others were saying that after spending hours on hold trying to contact this company, they found out that for another 25 bucks they could get a refund... Within about 90 days. And many never did. We want to share what we did. We decided to go right to our bank and explain the situation. This was the day after the check cleared.

Even though ours was put through as a paper transaction, as opposed to an ACH, and even though the money was already deducted from our account, our bank refunded our money, and is going to return the check. We then closed the account, to avoid either a second attept, or Lennox using our info in the future.

So, we fortunately recieved our much needed money back. But the thing I wanted to make most clear was the fact that if you did fall for this, it is NOT your fault! You didn't misunderstand... They lied!

If you go to a car dealer and he tells you to your face that you can have the '02 Viper for only 10,000, but instead delivers you the '72 Dart, you weren't making a bad call, the car dealer lied! Same thing here! Don't beat yourself up, take action!!!

Many times a person will feel stupid and decide to just let it go. Don't!!! You'll only be stupid if you don't take action! Anyway, Peace and good luck to all.
