I had applied for a loan for $7000 online. A few days later I got a call from a Courtney Veach saying that though other lenders had denied my loan request, J.T. Rexford had "pre approved" me. Being that I have very little credit (most everything is in my husbands name) I was told that I would have to secure the loan by purchasing a $600 insurance so that I would be protected in the event that I was injured, fired, or laid off. Or that I could send them the last 4 payments of the loan, which was $707.44.
I decided send the last 4 payments, thinking that with the job I have (I'm a self employed Day Care Provider) the likelyhood of me laying myself off was very slim. So I called Courtney back, she e-mailed me some loan papers with the loan agreement that I was to sign, and fax to 877-889-8579. I was told that I had to send the funds via Western Union to a Donald Sangster in Jamaica. After she received confirmation of the transfer the money was to be deposited into my bank account within 24 hours.
I wired the money, Courtney called me back confirming the number on the Western Union receipt. She then told me that my funds would be deposited into my account by 5:30P.M. Obviously, the funds were not deposited so I called her back many times getting the run around that she was away from her desk or on another call and would get back to me.
Courtney never called me back.instead, I got a call from a "Mr. Joseph" who said that my file had been sent to him because the lender who had first approved me had found a glitch in my paperwork and that I had a few options. The first, was that I could receive a refund within 30 days. The second, was that he was going to a meeting at 11:00a. M and would take my file to other lenders who would most likely be willing to help me. He said "They need your business more than you need their money."
From that point on, I was only to deal with "Mr. Joseph" and was no longer to have any contact with Courtney Veach, which did not hurt my feelings because the woman hardly spoke English and was quite annoying to talk with.
Mr. Joseph called me on Friday and told me that he had found a lender, they would be signing the papers on Monday morning and I was to expect a call verifying that the funds were in my account. He would also be giving me the address to send my payments to. After not receiving a call from him I called him myself, at which time he told me that the lender had indeed agreed to loan me the money - IF I sent him another $707.44, which equaled another 4 payments to secure the loan through them.
Now, I'm not sure if any of you checked the Western Union receipt but $707 US Dollars is equil to a little over $50 THOUSAND Jamaica dollars, or whatever their currency is called.
I was about 10 minutes from going to Western Union to wire the money when for some reason I thought to do a search on their financing company. Thank God I did, because had I sent them the money again they would have gotten over $100 thousand Jamaica dollars/whatever.
Now we have to change our bank account information and get new checks and debit cards. We've contacted a lawyer but I'm sure he'll just tell us that we were idiots for sending money.

I really hope this helps someone else not to get scammed. I feel like a complete idiot now, but we really needed the loan. I'm just glad I found this site before I sent them more money.
