Earlier I wrote an article regarding this company and then I started receiving many e-mails from other victims of this company.
This turns out to be a Rent to Own of housing scheme that offers a licensing program that varies in cost to those that make contact and the price apparently ranges from $3,000 to as high as $100,000 depending how much a person is willing to invest.
The solicitation for these investors usually starts by the company and Richard Friedberg placing innocent help wanted job postings on Career Builder or Monster.com and nowhere in these job postings does it state an investment is required.
The "Key" person that was supposedly the primary business affiliate and Real Estate Broker and trainer for all Licensee's that would be sucked into this "Scam" sent out a blast E-mail on 09/09 notifying several disgruntled investors that he had severed his ties with Advantage Rent to Own and Richard Friedberg as a result of the issues and his Brokers desire to separate from this perceived "Scam".
Several e-mails that I received today stated that they were suckered in with a Ninety Day "Guarantee" for success or they would get their investment back however nobody has ever received their money back to-date after making several demands for thier refunds. (Me included).
My story is even worse because I was duped into this organization believing that I was actually going to be a partner and owner and I was in fact promised 33.3% shares in the company via a Partnership Agreement and was to receive 33.3% of all revenues generated and to-date I have never received any shares and "zero" income as promised.
I recently discovered that a person out of Ft, -Worth-Dallas actually invested as much as $100,000 and also signed a separate promissory note to acquire a large marketing area but they also severed their ties when they discovered that this supposed rent to own scheme would not even be legal in the State of Texas.
Its doubtful that anybody will ever see any return of investment from this company or its owner however I have personall filed several formal complaint on line (via the internet) and also with various consumer protection advocates and I highly encourage anybody else that was "Scammed" to take similar action because the more complaints that are filed, the greater the chance for action to shut down this company and stop the "Scam".

If you have been "Scammed" by this company and/or person then contact the above parties and they will direct you to where you may need to go.
Local Police and/or District Attorney's offices may also begin investigations as to "Theft" of monies since investments were made with nothing tendered in return for those monies.
