I was contacted by Dan Lott about helping with my IRS, ptoblems. He stated that his firm Certified IRS Solutions could solve all my problems from a IRS audit. I paid them $2600 and signed a Power of Attorney to handle dealing with the IRS. The final payment July 07.in Full. I did not here from the company till Nov. They were busy. I called as many as 9 times in a week.
They finally sent me a notice that the IRS had rejected my offer in compromise. The IRS had recommended a increase in my offer to another number. I told Certified IRS that I could accept the IRS proposal. They said no that we should counter offer again. This was in Jan. The IRS again rejected our offer. I was now having trouble contacting anyone at Certified IRS Solutions about our Status with the Irs.
I received a letter from the IRS telling me I no longer had a signed Power of Attorney that was representing me. I call Certified IRS Solutions, no person would return my calls. I received another letter from the IRS that stated a firm I had never heard of was no longer representing me with them.
I call Certified IRS Solutions up to 20 times a day, finally I was spoken too by a person named Spence. He told me that personel changes had occured and my case was being address. Nothing happen, no one called, no e-mails, or letters.
A contact with the IRS finally called me direct and asked if I would like to proceed without Certified IRS Solutions. I agreed with her and we did negoiate a settlement.
Certified IRS Solutions owes me $2600. I believed they did not fulfil their responsiblity as promise. I believe that Dan Lott is a con-man. He never spoke with me after he received my money. I tried to call him numerous times to no result.
