I received an automated call saying I was eligible to get lower interest rates on my credit cards. "Press '1' if you would like to speak to a representative." So, I did. Thankfully, I was on-line when I asked the guy what company he represented & found the consumer complaints via Google.
I know my credit card rates are as low as they can be right now bec. I regularly call each credit card company & request a lower rate. If I didn't know that, I might have gotten hooked, but I manage each account carefully.
