I am a signature equity investor with Heaven Investments. I sent them my check in April, just before all these comments hit this site.
For those who may be unaware, Heaven offers 11% interest or more on a signature equity loan to them. Your collateral is a promissory note and a trust deed to one of their properties.
A few weeks ago, I received a letter from the county of Sacramento informing me that the property for which I held a deed (as collateral for the loan) was in default and that foreclosure proceedings are to be started soon. They informed me that over $11,000 is owed to the county on the property. Last week, I received a letter from someone in Florida saying that they held a first mortgage on the property and the Bahmani's owed him 70-some thousand dollars.
So basically, they gave me worthless collateral.
I have been trying for two weeks to reach someone at the company. Gabriella Gibson is "out on medical leave for two weeks". Ken Sarna is "on vacation". There is no one at all in the office who will talk to me.
The receptionist still answers the phone (as of Monday 7/28), but you can't get past her. She tells me Akbar will call me... Even makes an appointment for him to call at a specific time, but he never calls (missed two scheduled appointments so far). I'm still supposed to be on the call list, but it's clear now he has no intention of calling me. My guess is Gibson and Sarna are on unpaid leave because of their problems, or they've left altogether and they're not admitting it.
Next week I will be starting legal proceedings against them. Please note my name is at the bottom, so Akbar can't claim I'm a disgruntled employee.
