Robbed me of my refund after lying for 9 weeks and saying I would receive it

I cancelled my Direct TV account in March after fulfilling my contract and was told there would be no early termination fee.

I was billed $75.00 early termiation fee. After much fighting with them, Direct TV said they would credit the account and send me a check for exactly $77.11. This amount is showing up as a past due on my Verizon bill due to the integrated billing being cancelled.

I waited for almost 10 weeks. They told me I would receive the check in 6-8 weeks. Finally, Direct TV admitted that their finance dept had deemed the credit "invalid" and only issued a check for $2.11

They have robbed me of $75.00 and I can't tell you how many supervisors including Chris badge W2718 told me the check was coming. They even told the Verizon collections rep on 7-7-08 that the check was coming.

I believe Direct TV has committed fraud. I think it best to complain to the Maryland Public Service Commission, the state's attorney general's office and the FTC. And I am sure the marketing dept at Comcast would love this info.
