After applying online for a personal loan, I received an email response to my loan application, it said that I am "approved". During my conversation with "John Mason", the loan rep of First American Investments, stated that I was approved but in order to receive my loan, I needed to choose one of the two options:
Option 1: Prepay the loan up to five months and by prepaying
the loan, the loan would in turn be paid off faster.
Option 2: Loan Insurance this would cover the loan if I should take ill, become disable, or job loss.
I agreed to their terms and wired my money. I was told to wait for fund verification and after which the loan amount would be deposited into my account. I received a call from the third party lender, "Dorothy Gilpin" who wanted more money as a sign of "good faith." When I refused to give anymore money, she said she would be contacting Mr. Mason and closing my account—needlessly to say without giving back my money! And since then Mr. Mason, surprisingly, is not returning my calls.
This agency's website looks LEGITIMATE and Mr. John Mason sounds credible... But FOLLOW YOUR INSTINCTS!!! I freely sent my money to them, and it will probably be a struggle to have it returned—if it comes back at all! I on the other hand KNEW BETTER. My personal situation caused me to be susceptible to CON ARTISTS! BEWARE of First American Investments!
