Instead of retyping the whole long story, I'll post the message here that I sent them:
I will be filing a report with usacomplaints.com and with the proper banking authorities about how your web site is so dysfunctional that it traps people into recurring payments that can't be cancelled online but were set up online. I was told by your online chat person to go to netaccess.com which doesn't exist. Google instead refers you back to Bank of America. Then she gave me some 800 number to call. What's the point of an online presence if I have to use aphone to do what I needed to do.
I set up an online recurring payment via YOUR web site (not at any netaccess.com.) I got reported to the credit bureaus for late payments when my payments weren't late, they were less the minimum owed. I don't receive paper statements so wouldn't have known it was less. ANd usually, I get a robocall from my other cards if a payment is late or the wrong amount. Your bank offers no such service. You have NO function on your web site like other credit card companies do for choosing to pay the minimum owed on a recurring basis. We have to guess at an amount using your system. I am now setting up automatic withdrawal of the minimum owed via your paper authorization form (so again I ask, what is the purpose of your online recurring payment if we eventually wind up having to do everything via the phone and through the mail?). I no longer need the recurring payment amount I set up a few months ago via YOUR web site, but there is no function to turn it off! Instead I have to call some 800 number. My credit is now effected by YOUR dysfunctional web site! We can't even view our payment history without first figuring out on our own that you have to first click the "Pay Now" function to even get to the history function (and who would know that if they came to your site not to pay now but to view their payment history?) This web site is a joke and is designed to either have you over-pay (by not being able to turn off recurring payments) or under pay (by not offering "pay minimum balance owed" as a function) so they can up your interest rate and make more money. As soon as I can, I'm moving my credit balance to another financial institution.
Oh and don't try to email their "Contact us" customer form mail. It has a word limit of 200 words! And their "chat online with an agent" is useless because they can never answer your questions anyway. They tell you to call some 800 number!
