I tried to make a payment on Aug 10th, which is the day my payment is due. I always pay more than the minimum balance. I tried to set the payment date as Aug. 10th but the system would not allow same day payments. I tried to make the payment over the phone but the only options that were offered were: Billing address, previous payment and current payment due. So I set the online payment for Aug 11th, CFNA's payment was not drafted until the 15th. I was charged a $19.00 late fee.

I called several times, throughout the day and was unable to reach a customer service rep. A guy at my local Firestone told me to call 1-800-321-1150. I got thru to a VERY rude woman, who tried to keep hanging up on me instead of answering my questions. She would not remove my late fee because they had removed one in March (I had the same problem with the online system before). I asked to talk to her supervisor; she talked to her super instead of me. They decided to drop my late fee.

I also found out that because I had not paid off the entire balance within the first 6 months that the interest is calculated off the ORIGINAL purchase amount even though I have made payments to bring the balance down. It does not seem fair to calculate interest on $950.00 when I only owe $436.00.
