Won't send a release

OK Now I am really upset. I had an account with Portfolio Recovery, and it was legit. I am trying to buy a new house, and had to clean this mess up. A divorce does that I guess, anyhow I called them (notice they did not call or mail me anything) I told the person that I wanted to pay an outstanding account. I used a MasterCard, (might as well get some frequent flier miles) paid them like 45 bucks to use the card (more points). It goes through no problem, and I ask them to fax a letter to my mortgage company. Now they say they can't do that, and I will get a letter after 21 days. I spoke to my bank and they are shocked at this, however I spoke to Yvonne Murray a supervisor who was not only rude, but very unprofessional. She offered to send my bank a settlement arrangement letter (uhhh, I paid it, there is no arrangement). Now I understand that life as a bill collector has got to be hard, but please, when a client (customer) has satisfied their obligations, help them out.

If any one of those supervisors ever loose their job, and get behind, I hope a company as 'pleasant' as Portfolio Recovery contacts them, and helps them out...
