I signed up for my 1st cell phone when I was 18yrs old in like most 18yr old I was irresponsible and fell late on my bill (which was only $58). Today I printed out a credit report and it says I owe this company Portfolio recovery $1000 for a US cellular bill that was opened 3/08. This is not true and I would like to know how they are able to switch the opening date of an account? Further more I am unable to rent an apartment because this past due bill "claims" that it was less than 2 yrs ago which is completely false.
