I felt like such a failure until I read all of these. Homecoming Financial is making me homeless. I too have just been notified that Homecoming put my house on the market. I am a single mother of two children, and have worked diligently to keep my house. Ironically, when I bought my house it was a bank foreclosure. I gutted it and with the help of some really good friends, completely renovated it my first home, pride and joy. Now, because of a mortgage companys unwillingness to meet with me and help me find a way to pay them and keep my house, I am preparing to vacate the house. It is one of the saddest things that I have ever experienced in my life and one that will probably damage me the worst.

Once I was struggling I sought (and procured) a buyer for my home who requested the prepay penalties be waived, Homecoming said NO. I requested a short sale, Homecoming said NO. They have ensured that I failed to keep my house.
I got a letter from them sent courier that was put underneath my front door mat outside. It had been there for days and had I not tripped over my mat, I would never have found this letter that contained a deadline for me to contact them.By the time I found the letter and called, playing phone tag the entire time, I had less than 48 hours to schedule a meeting with them so we could work something out. Finally, when I got a hold of them, their meetings were all booked and they had no availability for me. They told me to fill out the hardship package that came with the letter. The same one I had filled out on 3 prior instances and faxed to them over the course of the previous 6 months. I never got any response then, so was I to believe I was going to receive one on my fourth and final hardship package?
There is not enough room on the World Wide Web to post the havoc they have caused in my life. They are taking from me the very place I intended to raise my children and remain until I was maybe a grandmother... I have had to sit my children down and explain to them that they are losing their home because I failed them but Homecoming Financial made certain that I failed.
All lenders were told by the government to work with the families and in return they would receive tax breaks and incentives. Homecoming told the government they would and then changed their minds after committing.
I have only one wish, and that is to be around long enough to see this class action lawsuit come to fruition. It will be bitter sweet, knowing how I feel now and the devastation this has caused and the sense of hopelessness they have now instilled in me. GMAC, if I was you, I would be ashamed to have HCF associated with your name, they will only tarnish it.
