Noticed unknown charge on credit card statement for $9.88.initially mistook charge for son's purchase of music on the internet. After seeing same charge the next month, researched internet and noticed others had experienced the same problem under 'HelpMeDownload.com'. Contacted phone number on statement and after an extended period of time on hold was connected to a foreign service representative. Explained to him that I had not authorized any charges and that I would like my account credited. After another long wait while he 'looked up my records' he says that the system would not let him credit my account because 7 days had passed (he claimed that I had signed up for 'download services' last September. I then informed him that I will be contacting the Attorney Generals office and filing a formal complaint. He then asks me to wait while he contacts a supervisor. After another wait he informs me that my account will be credited for both month's billing of $9.88 each.
Don't let them get by telling you that they will not refund the charges. They are a scam and should be fined or shut down.
