Chase Credit Card Services Poor Customer Service False Advertisement and Lies Durango

First let me start with the fact that I received a letter offering a balance transfer for a Chase Credit card I didn't remember having. It was for a 2.9 a.P.R. For the life of the loan. I just needed to transfer a small amount about 3,000 dollars and I thought the offer was good. Anyhow I called and in the conversation I said I hadn't seen the card in some time and wanted to change the card number for security reasons. I asked, would the offer still be available? The banker assured me no problem and we did the change. When I received my card a week or so later I called to make the transfer and was told that the offer did not exist for the card, so I proceeded to tell the banker that I was told it would be no problem. After being put on hold she came back and said the card needed to role over and to call back after the 28th, as the offer would be available. I did and what proceeded was the worst nightmare I have ever been through with a bank, after telling my story to another banker she offered to force the offer through and was very nice about it at one point I was told I had to go through security before I could proceed. I was moved over to security who had no idea what I was there for and after explaining the situation and the fact that the previous teller had left a note on the account, she asked me some questions that I felt were necessary and reasonable. I passed her security check and was told I would be moved over to the correct department to proceed. After a moment the line went dead and to a dial tone. I called back, and when I told the new teller what was going on she had no idea or clue. Finally (after being on hold for a while) she came back and said she would continue the balance transfer. At one point she mentioned it was for 8.9 a.P.R. I stopped her and proceeded to tell her the story of the original offer and she again sent me to security, I was once again asked a barrage of questions about things I had no idea of and about addresses I never lived at and vehicles I never owned. At this point let me mention I have a Mexican surname that is most common like Smith.

[An aside] During the waiting time for the supposed role over on the card and offer I received a letter from Chase CC services offering a 4.2 apr on a balance transfer and at the time I paid it no mind, as I was wrestling to still get the original 2.9 they had offered me and now seemed to not exist any longer. Finally after much frustration and seven people later I told the banker to forget it and that I would take the 4.2 I had been offered in the interim. Again the banker told me there was no such offer. I told her I had the letter from them stating so, and was asked to fax it for proof. At this point I hit the roof and told here how dare they send out offers and then ask the customer to prove it exist. I was given some lame excuse about Marketing and the different departments, I answered that they needed to have better communication and that Chase was a major corporation and that so far I felt I had been lied to several times and led down a long hall of mistakes and deceit. A few weeks went by and I had forgotten the incident. I just recieved an email from Chase a couple of days ago offering me a 0% apr on a balance transfer with a link to Chase online saying click the link, log in and choose your option. I did so and when I got to my account on line low and behold I received the message that my account was not eligible for transfers. I called and after talking with a young man who told me it was probably a carry over from the old card number, I informed him that the email stated it was for Me (my name) for the account ending in (*) and told him the numbers were for the account I had in my hand the very card I was holding as I spoke with him. Of course I was livid, I expressed much concern about false advertisement and poor customer services and had the account canceled.

I have three customer service awards from places of employment and four outstanding employee awards one employee of the year and three for employee of the month. Chase has the worst customer service practices I have ever encountered in my experience of dealing with banks. Here let me be clear I have never missed a payment on either of my working credit cards and never carry a huge balance. Chase Credit Card Services is the nightmare of all Banking. Stay away from them.
